Course Description:  Research has indicated that the LGBT population, as a whole, tends to be at a higher risk for mental health disorders and substance misuse than the heterosexual population. Research has been limited in exploring the many subgroups of the LGBT population and the mental health risk factors for these populations. This advance brief course examines whether the relationship between LGBT sub-populations and the increased risk of mental health concerns.
